Dr David L Ho
Dr. David L. Ho is the dentist at Whitby Dental Centre...He is celebrating over 25 years of practicing dentistry! He stays current and involved by serving on the executive committee of the Durham Dental Society. His interests include tennis, chess and Arnold Swartzeneger! He is also a busy dad of three children.
Dr. Ho graduated from Case Western Reserve University with Honors in 1993. He completed a post graduate internship at Saint Francis Hospital Medical Centre in Hartford, Connecticut in 1994. He has winning awards and honors from the American National Board, the North East Regional Board, and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Ho currently is serving on the executive commitee of the Durham Ontario Dental Society.
Louise (Certified Level II Dental Assistant)
Louise completed her studies at Durham College in 2022 as a certified level II dental assistant. Despite being relatively new to the profession, she is driven by a passion for educating patients about the importance of oral hygiene, all while supporting Dr. Ho in a variety of dental procedures. With a deep love for animals, feel free to share photos of your furry companions during your next visit! Outside of work, Louise enjoys hobbies such as knitting, gaming, reading, watching movies/TV, and horseback riding.
Terri (Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist)
Terri is our resident dental guru!! She is a restorative dental hygienist who also teaches dental hygiene at several colleges! She has extensive experience and is constantly learning and updating her skills. She manages all that while chasing a busy little boy and baby daughter!
Karrie (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Karrie is a fantastic hygenist who enjoys making people smile not only with her hygiene skills but with her jokes and baking skills as well. She is a big fan of cats, Dr. Who, and general nerdiness. When you come in, be sure to ask her about her new addition!
Debora (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Debora immigrated in 2012 from Brazil with her husband and son. While getting adjusted, learning a new language and having a baby girl she decided to become a Dental hygienist to fulfill a childhood dream. She graduated from Durham College and was chosen valedictorian of her class, she is passionate about her job and is always ready to provide her patients excellent care and oral health education. She loves giving back to her community and enjoys volunteering, specially helping newcomers and refugees with their adjustment to life in Canada. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys cooking Brazilian food to her family and friends.
Linda (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Linda is a dental hygienist that enjoys having fun with the patients that sit in her chair. She recognizes that a dental office is not everyone's favourite place to be and believes that laughter (and daily flossing!) is often the best medicine. Linda graduated from the George Brown Dental Hygiene program in 2018. When Linda isn't helping her patients keep their smiles healthy, she enjoys reading, cooking (& eating) pasta, and hiking with her dog; be sure to share your pasta recipes and dog pictures with her at your next visit!
Prya (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Prya recently moved to this beautiful Region of Durham. She received her Dental Assisting (Levels I and II) certificate and Dental Hygiene diploma from George Brown College. She joined the Whitby Dental Centre team in November 2024 with 8 years of experience in Dentistry and has loved every moment of it. She is excited about embarking on this new adventure with the team and meeting each one of you!
She strives to help each individual achieve their optimal oral health through education, health promotion and providing preventive and clinical therapy. In her free time, she enjoys watching Netflix shows, spending time with family and friends and painting occasionally.
Royena (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Royena is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated amongst her class with the Sun Star G.U.M award; for Outstanding Achievement in Preventative Dental Hygiene Care. With her friendly demeanour and attention to detail, she works diligently by providing the utmost care for all our patients. From routine cleanings to patient specific treatment plans, you can trust her to get the job done and ensure your smile always shines bright! On her free time, she likes to experiment with new baking recipes and also enjoys reading.
Donna (Schedule Co-Ordinator)
Donna knows everyone and everything!! We are blessed to know Donna! She has been working with our team since 2004. She can answer your scheduling questions and has the ability to deal with even the most stubborn insurance companies!
Kathy (Hygiene Co-Ordinator)
Kathy comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the dental field. Her goal is to put you at ease and help you to feel like one of the family! She understands your need for regular hygiene appointments, as she was a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 20 years! Risotto anyone? Cooking is her passion and loves to share an excellent recipe. She is still in search of the perfect crabcake if you have any suggestions. Gardening? – not her style but you will find her nurturing, cultivating and growing her love of all things equestrian.
